Why Can’t I Log In to My Google Business Profile?

Problems accessing your Google Business Profile can stem from various reasons. If you’ve encountered difficulties, check the solutions below, which will help you quickly regain access to your listing.

Logged In to the Wrong Google Account

The most common reason for login issues is that you are logged in to a different Google account than the one associated with your business listing.

  • Log out of all Google accounts (go to google.com) and log back in to the correct account that is associated with your listing.
  • To ensure you have the correct role (owner or manager), go to the Users and Access panel and then check the assigned permissions.

Google Account Issues

  • In many cases, login difficulties are caused by issues such as a deleted Google account, required two-factor verification (2FA), or a forgotten password.
  • If you’ve encountered the above difficulties, go to the account recovery page: https://accounts.google.com/v3/signin/recoveryidentifier?flowName=GlifWebSignIn&dsh=S1744900689%3A1768219562633876 and enter your email address.
  • Follow the instructions to regain access, e.g., using an SMS code or a recovery email.
  • After regaining account access, enable two-factor verification to prevent similar issues in the future.

Suspended Business Profile

Your Google Business Profile may be suspended due to policy violations, such as publishing spam, entering false data, or inconsistencies in information.

  • Check notifications in the panel or emails from Google, which may contain details regarding the suspension.
  • If necessary, correct errors such as the address or business name, and then submit an appeal via the form in the Business Profile Manager.
  • After reviewing the situation, Google may restore access to the Profile.

Unverified Profile

If your business listing has not been verified, you will not be able to fully manage it, which may block access to many features.

  • In the Google Business Profile panel, select the verification option.
  • You can verify your Profile in various ways: via SMS, email, postcard, video, or a call with a consultant.
  • After successfully confirming your profile, you will gain full access to all management features.

User Removed from Google Business Profile

If the listing owner has removed you from the list of Google Business Profile users, you lose the ability to log in.

  • Contact the person who owns the Profile to have them restore you to the user list.
  • Only the listing owner can add new users or restore access.
  • If you are the sole owner of the account and access has been blocked, try to recover your Google account. Then you send an access request from Google Maps.
